Rates from Mumbai to Incheon International Airport start at about ₹35,000 roundtrip for trips to Seoul in the middle of April. In mid-January, trips from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi are a little less expensive, starting at about ₹20,000 round-trip.

I suggest adding extra days to allow for any sightseeing before or after the show, for a total of 5–7 days for each destination. This has a small effect on the total costs but makes exploration more useful.

When looking for flights, you should also look at planes from airports close to both cities. For instance, going to Dubai instead of Abu Dhabi could save you money, and you could quickly get to the music venue by bus or train.

Accommodations

A big chunk of your trip budget goes to lodging, so it’s important to find the right balance between price, convenience, and comfort.

Booking.com, Expedia, and Agoda are the sites I use most to book rooms in Asia and the Middle East. When I’m comparing properties, I always sort them by how nice the area is, how many stars they have, and any extras they have, like Wi-Fi.

A good hotel near the city center or the Olympic Stadium costs about ₹4,000 per night for a two-person trip to Seoul that lasts five to seven days. In the same way, a good place to stay in Abu Dhabi during the same time period usually starts at around ₹3,500 per night for a double.

Prices drop a lot if you’re willing to stay farther away and take public transportation to work. I’ve booked rooms for less than ₹2,000 a night in still-respectable places near subway and train lines.

Hostel dorms or Airbnb shared rooms are other options that could even get you a place to stay for less than ₹1,000 a night. It depends on how you like to travel, how private you want to be, and what services you want.

Visas

Indian card holders can easily enter both South Korea and the UAE with online e-visas or visas on arrival.

Single-entry Korean e-visas for Seoul cost $50 USD and let you stay for 30 days.

Abu Dhabi also offers UAE e-visas for 30 days for about $100 USD. A visa when you arrive costs $110 USD.

I suggest starting the online application process about 6 to 8 weeks before the trip, so that there is enough time for processing. Applications need things like scans and photos of your passport, flight and hotel reservations, bank records, and more.

Daily Expenses

From what I’ve seen, Seoul’s daily costs for food, sights, transportation, and other necessities range from ₹4,000 to ₹6,000 for one person.

The daily rates in Abu Dhabi seem a little lower; I usually pay around ₹3,000 to 5,000 per day.

In both places, though, you can get by on less money by eating street food instead of restaurants, taking the bus or train instead of a taxi, going on free walking tours instead of paid attractions, and so on.

Set aside ₹8,000 to 10,000 per day if you want to go shopping, eat at fancy restaurants, or do more expensive sightseeing. As with most places, prices go up as people want more luxury.

Concert Tickets

Seeing Coldplay live is, of course, the best part of any trip with the band.

The cheapest tickets for their show at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on April 15, 2023 cost around ₹5,500, and the most expensive ones cost over ₹15,000.

At the moment, tickets for the show in Abu Dhabi on January 17, 2023, start at ₹4,000.

I think you should buy tickets as soon as they go on sale to make sure you get the best seats for your money. When you wait, you often have to settle for much more expensive resale choices later on.
